TWO SHOWS! TWO OPENINGS!
November 24th and December 3rd!
Both at 7:00 PM
Did you know that some of America's finest fine art photographers are members of the American Society of Media Photographers South Florida chapter (ASMP)? They represent every conceivable genre of fine art photography, from the current trend of creating a world before the lens that has been carefully staged and lighted (which could easily be argued is where it all began) through the skillful art of waiting patiently for that special split-second when time and light come together in the Everglades or an alley in Liberty City to create something wholly new and unexpected to the eye.
This year's annual show "Find Us Here" will showcase some of the best fine art photography by its members. The show will run from November 24th through December 10th at the Luna Star Gallery in North Miami across from MOCA. The attached picture "Bells" by Juan Manuel Garcia is an example of the work that will appear in this show.
"I call it Bells," Garcia says, "because it seems like the 3 bells that are always in the churches in little towns in Colombia. It took us 2 weeks to shoot because we were looking for different poses from the models. By the time this picture was taken, the tube became permanently curved from the models' weight."
Another example of our member's work is a picture from Aaron Ansarov's 1:1 Project.
